Connect your account

Connect your Mindtickle account to an AI client, use the connector, and troubleshoot access issues.

Prerequisites

  1. Set up the connector: Your organization has published the connector in the AI client.

Connect your Mindtickle account to the connector your administrator has made available in your AI client. Your account’s permissions determine which Mindtickle content you can access. If the connector is not available, ask your administrator to follow Set up the connector.

Menu names and controls vary by AI client. Follow the vendor instructions in AI clients; the general connection flow is:

  1. Open the connectors, apps, or integrations settings in your AI client and find Mindtickle in the list.
  2. Click Connect.
  3. You’re redirected to a Mindtickle consent screen. Sign in if prompted, review the permissions being requested, and authorize access.

After authorization, your AI client can use the tools available to your connection. See Use the connector in conversations.

Describe your task in your own words. Your AI client selects tools based on your prompt and its configuration; you do not need to call tools by name. Follow any approval prompts shown by the client.

Example prompts:

  • “Search my Mindtickle content for the latest onboarding module.”
  • “Summarize my last call with Acme.”
  • “Find courses related to enterprise sales in Mindtickle.”
  • “Find the battle card for competitor ABC.”

Your AI client typically indicates when it is using a Mindtickle tool and displays the results in the conversation. Refer to your client’s documentation for its tool-use indicators and approval controls.

Tool results respect your existing Mindtickle permissions. You can only retrieve content and Copilot responses you would otherwise have access to inside Mindtickle.

To revoke your AI client’s access to the Mindtickle MCP server, disconnect the connector from within the client’s settings:

  1. Open the connector or integration settings in your AI client. See AI clients for the current vendor instructions.
  2. Find the connected Mindtickle connector. It typically displays a Connected badge or status indicator.
  3. Click Disconnect (or the equivalent option in your client).
  4. Confirm the action when prompted. Your AI client will no longer have access to that connector’s tools from your account.

Disconnecting removes your personal OAuth grant for the connector. The organization’s connector configuration remains in place. You can reconnect at any time. If your organization uses admin-controlled scopes and needs to fully revoke the underlying client_id and client_secret, your admin should contact their Mindtickle Customer Success Manager (CSM) or account team.

For the exact disconnect UI in your AI client, refer to that client’s documentation.

The following issues can occur regardless of which AI client you are using. For a specific client’s own troubleshooting steps, refer to that client’s documentation, linked from AI clients.

Problem Resolution
OAuth consent screen does not appear Verify that the connector URL is correct and ends with /mcp. Confirm that you have access to the Mindtickle instance referenced in the URL.
“Unauthorized” error when using the connector Your OAuth token may have expired. Disconnect and reconnect to reauthorize.
Tool calls return no results Confirm that you have access to the relevant Mindtickle content. The connector respects your existing Mindtickle permissions.
Some expected tools are not available If your organization uses admin-controlled scopes, your admin may have restricted which tools are exposed. Contact your admin to confirm.
Connector or app option not visible in settings Availability depends on the client’s plan and your organization’s settings. Check the vendor documentation linked from AI clients and confirm access with your administrator.
